Healthy Sweet Potato Fries
I love french fries just as much as the next person, but I always prefer the homemade kind so I can avoid any kind of vegetable oils like canola oil. It's best to minimize these since they cause inflammation in your body and usually come from crops heavily sprayed with pesticides.
So if you're still craving fries, but want a healthier choice, here's your solution!
These are easy to make, deliciously healthy, and served perfectly with some clean ketchup. My favorite is Primal Kitchen Foods!
HOW TO MAKE IT:
Cut a large sweet potato into fry-like shapes (I used a Japanese sweet potato in the photo - they are my favorite!)
Mix fries in a bowl with avocado oil, sea salt, pepper, rosemary, nutritional yeast, and minced garlic or garlic powder. You just need enough oil to coat all of the potatoes and you can add as much spice as you want!
Lay fries on a parchment paper covered pan and make sure there is a little bit of space between them (they cook better this way).
Cook in the oven at 400° for 22 minutes, flipping them halfway.
Finish them by broiling them on high in the oven for a few minutes until they are perfectly crispy. Just keep a watch on them as they can burn quickly.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce!
