The coziest breakfast for the fall season
This breakfast is one of my go-to’s for the fall season. It’s SO tasty and makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Not to mention it’s super easy and only takes a few minutes!
WHAT YOU NEED:
1 apple (Gala apple is my favorite for this)
Pumpkin spice seasoning
Toppings of your choice, if desired
HOW TO MAKE IT:
To begin, cut up one whole red apple into bit sized pieces. Then cook oatmeal on the stove per packaging instructions.
While the oatmeal is cooking, throw the apple bites onto the pan with a scoop of coconut oil. On medium heat, sauté the apple bites in the coconut oil with as much pumpkin spice seasoning as desired (I like a lot…). Let the apple bites cook for a few minutes, until soft.
A minute or so before the oatmeal is done, stir in a heaping spoonful of canned pumpkin to the oatmeal, along with some additional pumpkin spice seasoning.
When the oatmeal is done, pour it into a bowl and slide the cooked apples on top.
Feel free to top with your favorite toppings! My favorites for this bowl are shredded coconut, pumpkin seeds and a scoop of nut butter.
